If the title of this post made your brain explode, “#FestivalHair + #ReflectoBud @ #RTS2015 + #PBW2015″ translates to “Photos of hapless humans stuck in Bud’s festival hair and photos of Bud reflected in sunglasses at Rock the Shores and the Phillips Backyard Weekender.” Simple, right?
It’s another (okay, the second) recap of the adventures my festival hair (click here to read the origin story) gets in to when I wear it at festivals, with a new feature: me reflected in other folks’ sunglasses. Yes, I’m easily amused. WHAT OF IT?
We’ll start with Jody, and her beautiful little boy Harley. This kid . . . I can’t even . . .
They’re friends with friend Heather, who you saw in the last installment of Bud’s Festival Hair.
Left: Jason Lamb’s boy, Martin. He’s cool beans.
Right: New photografriend Lauretta. Not “Loretta.” She’s happy fun, and was shooting her first fest. To make things more interesting, she’s predominantly a still shooter, but was there to shoot video.
ALL THE #PHOTOGRAFRIENDS! L–R: Jason, Martin, Dan, Jessica, Lindsey, Louise, John, Ben, and Sam.
This happy ball of energy is Héloïse, and she was wearing an amazing DIY feather crown, which she would occasionally place on random other folks’ heads.
Héloïse also kindly held it up for me to create this brilliant framing for Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.
Switching from the bright, happy sun of Rock the Shores to the drippy, dismal rain of the Phillips Backyard Weekender, these two resisted any manner of precipitation with their sunshiny smiles and fantastical fur hats.
Here’s a collection of wonderful people I roped into trapping themselves in my headgear when all they did was innocently ask about it . . .
My final festival hair victim was this gal, who just came up to me talkin’, energy to spare, loving life and only too happy to become trapped in the Chinese finger trap weirdness attached to my head.
Now, back to Rock the Shores: while clambouring through the pit, I happened upon friend Alyse and, upon seeing the majestic reflectiveness of her eyewear, thought I’d start yet another silly little Bud-project by taking a photo of myself in her sights.
Glasses win? I think so.
And, friend Darren closes out this post of utter silliness. Thank goodness my friends are just as silly as I am, else I’d have been stuffed into a box and shipped elsewhere a long time ago.
