Hannah’s story is both inspirational and terribly sad, and it’s one of those stories which make you question how it could be possible for a child to suffer so much.
After losing their home to fire, 2-year-old Hannah developed an aggressive form of cancer which took 15 months to defeat, only to have leukemia set in from the chemotherapy drug.
Now 4, Hannah’s body won’t be able to withstand the same level of chemo which took down her cancer, so she’s awaiting a stem cell match.
The Hope for Hannah benefit concert was put on to raise some money to help relieve some of the considerable financial stress on the family, who has already suffered so much.
Towers and Trees (top photo), Georgia Murray (above), Robbie Aylesworth, Jesse Roper, Zerbin (all below), and Vince Vaccaro performed at the beautiful Alix Goolden Hall, while magician Jason Verners kept the crowd thoroughly entertained in between sets.
And, at the end of the night, there was an incredible moment for all in attendance when Hannah and her family arrived, having made the trip from Vancouver to be at the show. Cue heart burst.
Let’s hope this family gets the karma kick they need to begin living normal lives again.
