Another year of festing madness at Royal Athletic Park.
The Zone’s theme this year was Camp Zone, complete with camp cabin façade, interview canoe, flameless campfire w/ real marshmallow roasting, craft table, and postcard-writing station. T’was a big hit, and many folks, like Blayke and Allie (above) got into it quite well.
Courtney Love, a late addition to the lineup, was certainly a huge draw for the festival.
It took over an hour of talking with various organizers and security guards, but I got our Star Guitar (a guitar we have Rifflandia rockstars sign for auctioning off to the War Child charity the next year) signed by Courtney. It was the only thing she signed.
All of my lovely photografriends. L-R: Darren, Leanne, Tyson, Sam, Matt, Lindsey, Casey, and Adam.
Torquil Campbell of Stars performs in the rain.
I’ve seen this little thing at all of the local festivals for a number of years. Her name is Darian, and her papa has been bringing her to the music to her great enjoyment.
Parenting: he’s doing it right.
Big Boi’s glasses show off the stormclouds overhead.
Kim (of Matt and Kim) does the incredible, and WALKS on the HANDS of the audience.
My Zone family brought on Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros to close off the festival. L-R: Jon, Jade, Jason, Allie, Bryan, Jeremy, Chris, Dan, and Pol.
