Opening the show was a longtime favourite on the Victoria scene, Acres of Lions. My highlight shot of the entire night was this one of Dan Ball, A.K.A. GOD.
But the night (and the light) belonged to Towers and Trees, there to celebrate the official release of their long-awaited new album, The West Coast.
In an absolute glee-inducing move (from the perspective of a concert photographer, anyway), T&T WAY upped their lighting game. Phantogram, Dear Rouge, and now this? Be still my clockwork heart.
If you haven’t checked out The West Coast, please do. It’s a fantastic album, full of depth, emotion, harmony, and beautiful instrumentation which also happens to be from a fantastic group of Victorians.
